Sister taxon: Tyrrhenoglis figariensis
Type specimen: Ty 5181, Museum of Basel. Mandible with left M1 and right M1-M2., a mandible. Its type locality is Capo Figari, Golfo Aranci, NE of the Island of Sardinia, which is in a MN 16 terrestrial horizon in Italy.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution:
• MN 16 of Italy (1 collection)
• Pliocene to Pleistocene of Italy (1)
