Type specimen: USNM 158834. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic loc. M2024, Middle Fork of Elder Creek, which is in a Tithonian marine sandstone in California.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at USGS Mesozoic loc. M2024, Middle Fork of Elder Creek
