Belongs to Groebericeras according to M. B. Aguirre-Urreta and P. P. Alvarez 1999

Sister taxa: Groebericeras baileyi, Groebericeras rocardi

Type specimen: SEGEMAR 8067, a shell. Its type locality is MallĂ­n Redondo, Sierra Azul, which is in a Berriasian carbonate wackestone in the Chachao Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 67.5

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Argentina (2 collections), Chile (1)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
