Sister taxon: Anadasypus aequatorianus

Type specimen: IGM 183499, an osteoderm. Its type locality is Duke Locality 59 (La Venta Fauna), which is in a Laventan fluvial mudstone/sandstone in the Villavieja Formation of Colombia.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore

Distribution:
