Type specimen: University of Washington College of Mines, a skeleton (complete skeleton). Its type locality is Northwestern Improvement Company No. 2 Mine, which is in an Eocene lacustrine shale in the Roslyn Formation of Washington.

Ecology: nektonic omnivore

Distribution: found only at Northwestern Improvement Company No. 2 Mine
