Stratigraphy
Geological group:Cow Head Formation:Shallow Bay Member:Downes Point
Local bed:Boulder #363
Stratigraphic resolution:group of beds
Stratigraphy comments: Boulder #363 is from the Zacanthoidid-Pagetia Biofacies. While this monograph deals with the Kindle Zone 1, fauna of the Kindle Zones 2-5 can be found in Westrop et. al 1996. The Downes Point Member is about 100m thick and the general paleoenvironment is a shelf edge/upper slope environment which transported fossils as debris flows forming a deep water sediment apron..

Collection methods and comments
Collection methods:survey of museum collection
Reason for describing collection:taxonomic analysis
Collection method comments: Not all boulders were assignable to a biofacies and only trilobites were described, however other taxa are not known to be omitted since there is no mention of them in the text. The trilobites described here are part of the C. H. Kindle Collection at the Geological Survey of Canada.
