Primary lithology:pebbly, green poorly lithified argillaceous, conglomeratic sandstone
Includes fossils?Y
Lithology description: the main macrofossiliferous sedimentary unit is approximately 100 m thick and consists mostly of dark green, very fine to medium basaltic sandstone with rounded to subrounded grains. near the base of the unit, pebble conglomerates grade rapidly upward into coarse sandstone. intermixed with fossils are subrounded basaltic clasts that range in size from granule to medium. there are also some large pebble-sized lumpy calcareous nodules. the matrix of the pebble conglomerate is mudstone and the amount is variable.
