Lithology description: "The lower part...is a sequence of interbedded conglomerate and sandstone. The Sst is gray, tightly cemented, and composed almost entirely of quartz...no laminations...The conglomerate, gray to bluish gray...is composed of...rounded very fine to fine quartz pebbles tightly cemented by silica...The upper part of the Kanouse is mostly sandstone, lighter gray and mroe readily weathered that the Sst below...[shelly fauna in this upper Sst]."
