Phacoides (Here) tithonis was named by Dall (1903) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene; Jamaica.]. Its type specimen is USNM 135723, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Phacoides (Linga) tithonis by Woodring (1925).
