Hapalodectes dux
Taxonomy
Hapalodectes dux was named by Lopatin (2001). Its type specimen is PIN 3104/371, a mandible (Left and right mandibles with most of the teeth), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Tsagan Hushu [Naran Bulak Fm.] [PMPE], which is in a Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Naran Bulak Formation of Mongolia.
