I. Ferrusquía-Villafranca 2006As for the only known species, Simojovelhyus pocitosense below. [Differs (Fig. 4) from other helohyidsin having molars with a tiny paraconid, and a unique combina-tion of cristids and cuspulids as follows. Cristids: paracristid, an-teromesocristid (neomorphic), and anterolingualcristid (neo-morphic) on the trigonid anterior slope, cristid obliqua (short toremnant), and a robust postcristid in the talonid. Cuspulids (small, accessory): mesoconulid, hypoconulid (large and blunt in m3), postmesoconulid (neomorphic), and pseudohypoconulid (neomorphic).]
