It was recombined as Platyceras acutirostris by Elias (1958); it was recombined as Platyceras (Orthonychia) acutirostre by Lane et al. (1973); it was recombined as Platyceras (Orthonychia) acutirostra by Ausich (1978); it was recombined as Platyceras acutirostre by Feldman (1987); it was recombined as Palaeocapulus acutirostre by Wagner (2023).
