Taxonomy
Protoceratopsidovum fluxuosum was named by Mikhailov (1994). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is PIN 3142-496, an egg (complete clutch), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khermeen Tsav, Red Beds (PIN coll. 3142) [SMPE], which is in a Campanian/Campanian terrestrial horizon in the Baruungoyot Formation of Mongolia.
