Astroria sinensis was named by Milne-Edwards and Haime (1849). It is extant.

It was recombined as Meandrina sinensis by Felix (1915); it was recombined as Platygyra sinensis by Veron (1977).

Synonyms
  • Maeandrina delicatula was named by Ortmann (1888). It is extant.

    It was recombined as Coeloria delicatula by Ortmann (1889); it was recombined as Platygyra delicatula by Chevalier (1968); it was synonymized subjectively with Platygyra sinensis by Kiessling (2008).
