Europasaurus was named by Sander et al. (2006). It is not extant. Its type is Europasaurus holgeri.
It was assigned to Macronaria by Sander et al. (2006), Ksepka and Norell (2010), Bolecsek and Wings (2013); to Brachiosauridae by D'Emic (2012), Mannion et al. (2013), D'Emic (2013), D'Emic et al. (2016), Mannion et al. (2017), Mannion et al. (2019); and to Camarasauromorpha by Carballido et al. (2015), Carballido et al. (2020).
