Daulestes was named by Trofimov and Nessov (1979).

It was assigned to Palaeoryctidae by Nessov et al. (1994); and to Asioryctitheria by McKenna et al. (2000), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004), Archibald and Averianov (2005), Archibald and Averianov (2006), Wible et al. (2007) and Wible et al. (2009).

D. inobservabilis, D. kulbeckensis (syn. Kennalestes uzbekistanensis, Kumlestes olzha)

Synonyms

Taslestes was named by Nessov (1982).

It was synonymized subjectively with Daulestes by McKenna et al. (2000), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004) and Archibald and Averianov (2006).

It was assigned to Palaeoryctidae by Nessov (1982); and to Zhelestidae by Nessov et al. (1994).
