It was assigned to Chitoninae by Abbott (1974), Pacaud and Le Renard (1995) and Wells and Houston (2001); to Neoloricata by Sepkoski (2002); and to Chitonidae by Smith (1973), Schwabe and Lozouet (2006) and Vendrasco et al. (2022).
