Turbo caelatus was named by Goldfuss (1844). It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Brokenriveria caelata by Cook and Camilleri (1997), Blodgett et al. (1999); it was recombined as Brokenriveria caelatus by Wagner (2023).
