Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria (Lophospira) viator was named by Perner (1907). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zahorany, which is in a Zahorany transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone/shale in the Zahorany Formation of the Czech Republic.
It was recombined as Lophospira viator by Havlicek and Vanek (1966); it was recombined as Paupospira viator by Wagner (2023).
