Euphemites lentiformis
Taxonomy
Euphemus lentiformis was named by Weller (1916). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Bed No. 8, Fountain Creek, 2 miles southwest of Waterloo, which is in a Chesterian carbonate limestone in the Ste. Genevieve Formation of Illinois.
It was recombined as Euphemites lentiformis by Knight and Bridge (1944), Rollins (1975), Amler and Heidelberger (2003) and Wagner (2023).
