Eunema carinata was named by Angelin and Lindström (1880) [Eunema carinata Lindström in Angelin & Lindström 1880]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was corrected as Eunema carinatum by Reed (1897); it was recombined as Globonema carinata by Wagner (2023).
