Cyrtolites imbricatus was named by Meek and Worthen (1868). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Conradella imbricata by Ulrich and Scofield (1897); it was recombined as Phragmolites imbricata by Ebbestad (1999) and Wagner (2023).
