Taxonomy
Bucaniella insularis was named by Koken and Perner (1925) [Bucaniella insularis Koken in Koken & Perner 1925]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Kokenospira insularis by Yochelson (1963), Ebbestad (1999) and Wagner (2023).
