Hexaprotodon coryndoni
Taxonomy
Hexaprotodon coryndoni was named by Geze (1985). Its type specimen is AL 170-1A & AL 170-1B, a partial skull (mandible and cranial fragments), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hadar - DD General, which is in a Piacenzian wet floodplain horizon in the Hadar Formation of Ethiopia.
