It was assigned to Melanorosauridae by Ellenberger (1970); to Pentasauropodia by Ellenberger (1972); to Prosauropoda by Nicosia and Loi (2003); to Sauropoda by Knoll (2004); to Prosauropoda by Hunt et al. (1998), Romero Molina et al. (2003), D'Orazi Porchetti and Nicosia (2007); to Navahopodidae by Olsen and Galton (1984), Milàn et al. (2008); and to Sauropodomorpha by Salisbury et al. (2016).

Strong claws which in the pes bend inward; manus smaller than the pes (about 2/3) with four digits. Manus regularly placed in front of, and external to, the pes. |
