Taxonomy
Ptilotodon wilsoni was named by Nydam and Cifelli (2002). It is not extant. Its type specimen is OMNH 60764. Its type locality is McLeod Prison (OMNH V706), Tomato Hill, which is in an Aptian/Albian floodplain claystone/sandstone in the Antlers Formation of Oklahoma. It is the type species of Ptilotodon.
