Delphinodon carniolicus
Taxonomy
Champsodelphis carniolicus was named by Gorjanovic-Kramberger (1892) [no type specimen number listed]. Its type specimen is Geological and Palaeontological National Museum, Zagreb, a partial skull (section of rostrum with teeth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jessenice, which is in a Langhian marine horizon in the Czech Republic.
It was recombined as Delphinodon carniolicus by Gorjanovic-Kramberger (1882), Kellogg (1925), Ichishima et al. (1995), Kazár (2005).
