Shirkentosauropus shirkentensis
Taxonomy
Shirkentosauropus shirkentensis was named by Dzhailov and Novikov (1993). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Shirkent II tracksite, which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian peritidal limestone in Tajikistan. It is the type species of Shirkentosauropus.
It was synonymized subjectively with Megalosauripus uzbekistanicus by Lockley et al. (2000).
