Magnosaurus nethercombensis
Taxonomy
Megalosaurus nethercombensis was named by Huene (1923). Its type specimen is OUM J.12143, a set of postcrania, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nethercomb (OUM), which is in a Bajocian marine horizon in the Middle Inferior Oolite Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Magnosaurus nethercombensis by Huene (1932), Kuhn (1939), Molnar et al. (1990), Rauhut (2003), Holtz et al. (2004), Naish and Martill (2007), Benson (2008), Benson and Barrett (2009), Carrano et al. (2012), Rauhut et al. (2016), Razzolini et al. (2016).
It was recombined as Magnosaurus nethercombensis by Huene (1932), Kuhn (1939), Molnar et al. (1990), Rauhut (2003), Holtz et al. (2004), Naish and Martill (2007), Benson (2008), Benson and Barrett (2009), Carrano et al. (2012), Rauhut et al. (2016), Razzolini et al. (2016).
