Leptochamops denticulatus

Taxonomy
Chamops denticulatus was named by Gilmore (1928). Its type specimen is YPM 1062, a mandible (a nearly complete left dentary with 23 teeth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Peterson's Quarry, which is in a Lancian terrestrial horizon in the Lance Formation of Wyoming.

It was recombined as Leptochamops denticulatus by Estes (1964), Estes (1983), Bryant (1989), Gao and Fox (1991), Gao and Fox (1996), Longrich et al. (2012).
