Mycteriacetus bellunensis
Taxonomy
Eurhinodelphis bellunensis was named by Pilleri (1985). Its type specimen is Geological Institute, University of Padua 26404 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Libano, which is in an Aquitanian marine sandstone in the Libano Sandstone Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Mycteriacetus.
It was recombined as Argyrocetus bellunensis by Bianucci and Landini (2002); it was recombined as Mycteriacetus bellunensis by Lambert (2004).
