Champsosaurus lindoei
Taxonomy
Champsosaurus lindoei was named by Gao and Fox (1998). Its type specimen is UALVP 931, a skeleton (nearly complete skull with mandibles, most of the vertebral column, pectoral and pelvic girdles, and limbs), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dinosaur Provincial Park (Champsosaurus lindoei type locality), which is in a Campanian terrestrial horizon in the Oldman Formation of Canada.
