Piveteausaurus divesensis
Taxonomy
Eustreptospondylus divesensis was named by Walker (1964). Its type specimen is MNHN 1920-7, a partial skull (braincase), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vaches Noires, near Dives, which is in a Callovian marine marl in the Marnes de Dives Formation of France. It is the type species of Piveteausaurus.
It was recombined as Proceratosaurus divesensis by Paul (1988); it was recombined as Piveteausaurus divesensis by Taquet and Welles (1977), Molnar et al. (1990), Buffetaut et al. (1991), Molnar (1991), Currie and Padian (1997), Knoll et al. (1999), Allain (2001), Holtz et al. (2004), Rauhut et al. (2010), Carrano et al. (2012), Paulina Carabajal and Currie (2012), Rauhut et al. (2016).
It was recombined as Proceratosaurus divesensis by Paul (1988); it was recombined as Piveteausaurus divesensis by Taquet and Welles (1977), Molnar et al. (1990), Buffetaut et al. (1991), Molnar (1991), Currie and Padian (1997), Knoll et al. (1999), Allain (2001), Holtz et al. (2004), Rauhut et al. (2010), Carrano et al.
