Balaenotus orcianensis
Taxonomy
Balaenotus orcianensis was named by Pilleri (1987). Its type specimen is IGF 1647 V, an other (fragment of right periotic), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Orciano Pisano, which is in a Piacenzian open shallow subtidal mudstone in Italy.
