Taxonomy
Bonatitan reigi was named by Martinelli and Forasiepi (2004). Its type specimen is MACN-PV RN 821 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bajo de Santa Rosa locality (MACN), which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Allen Formation of Argentina.
