Valentinella vitrollense
Taxonomy
Valentinella vitrollense was named by Tabuce et al. (2004). Its type specimen is UM-VLP-2, a mandible (damaged right dentary with p3-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vitrolles la Plaine, Rognac, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial limestone/marl in France. It is the type species of Valentinella.
