Taxonomy
Ferecetotherium kelloggi was named by Mchedlidze (1970). Its type specimen is IPGAS C2/29, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Perekishkyul, which is in a Chattian marine horizon in Azerbaijan.
