Himalayacetus subathuensis
Taxonomy
Himalayacetus subathuensis was named by Bajpai and Gingerich (1998) [Roorkee University Vertebrate Paleontology Laboratory]. Its type specimen is RUSB 2003, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kuthar Nala, which is in a Ypresian carbonate limestone in the Subathu Formation of India.
