Idiophyseter merriami
Taxonomy
Idiophyseter merriami was named by Kellogg (1925). Its type specimen is UCMP 24287 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Templeton, which is in a Langhian marine claystone in California. It is the type species of Idiophyseter.
