It was synonymized subjectively with Adeorbidae by MacNeil (1960), Ladd (1972).
It was assigned to Tornacea by Ward and Blackwelder (1987); to Rissoidea by Marquet (1997); to Vitrinellidae by Beesley (1998); to Rissooidea by Harzhauser (2002), Bouchet et al. (2005); and to Truncatelloidea by Ponder and Warén (1988), Criscione and Ponder (2013), Bouchet et al. (2017).
