Taxonomy
Teinostoma moodiense was named by Harris and Palmer (1947) [m. kosnik taxon no: 6845]. Its type specimen is PRI 4498, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is HiMS-2.1, which is in a Bartonian offshore siltstone in the Moodys Branch Formation of Mississippi.
