Taxonomy
Paleopsephaea mutabilis was named by Wade (1926) [m. kosnik taxon no: 2735]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Dave Weeks place, Coon Creek, which is in a Campanian coastal sandstone in the Ripley Formation of Tennessee.
