Ictopidium lechei
Taxonomy
Ictopidium lechei was named by Zdansky (1930) [at the time of Zdansky (1930) the type was stored in the paleontological Institute of the university in Upsala, Sweden]. Its type specimen is PIU M3433, a mandible (damaged right lower jaw with P3, P4, M2 and part of M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Heti Formation Locality 1, which is in a Sharamurunian channel marl/sandstone in the Heti Formation of China.
