Cyclotosaurus robustus
Taxonomy
Capitosaurus robustus was named by Meyer and Plieninger (1844). Its type specimen is GPIT 27-1 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Feuerbacher Heide, which is in a Carnian channel sandstone/sandstone in the Stuttgart Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Cyclotosaurus robustus by Fraas (1889), Welles and Cosgriff (1965), Kuhn (1971), Ingavat and Janvier (1981), Schoch and Milner (2000), Damiani (2001), Schoch (2013).
