Submeryceros crucianus
Taxonomy
Meryceros (Submeryceros) crucianus was named by Frick (1937) [type of subgenus Submeryceros]. Its type specimen is F:AM 31495, a partial skull (left horn), and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Meryceros (Submeryceros).
It was recombined as Submeryceros crucianus by Voorhies (1990).
