Taxonomy
Voigtopora giraliensis was named by Håkansson et al. (2024). Its type specimen is WAM 2022.8 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample K2, Section Hill, Cardabia Station, which is in a Maastrichtian offshore ramp chalk in the Korojon Formation of Australia.
