Mimotricentes fremontensis
Taxonomy
Tricentes fremontensis was named by Gazin (1956). Its type specimen is USNM 20582, a mandible, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Saddle, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in Wyoming.
It was recombined as Mimotricentes fremontensis by Van Valen and Sloan (1965), Krause and Gingerich (1983).
