Taxonomy
Eryx linxiaensis was named by Shi et al. (2023). Its type specimen is IVPP V 27593, a maxilla (left maxilla), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yangwapuzijifang, which is in a MN 12/MN 13 terrestrial claystone in the Liushu Formation of China.
