Manitsha tanka
Taxonomy
Manitsha tanka was named by Simpson (1941). Its type specimen is Amer. Mus. No. 39081, a partial skeleton (fairly complete skull and jaws, most of a fore limb and other fragments), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Manitsha Site, which is in an Orellan terrestrial horizon in South Dakota. It is the type species of Manitsha.
