Strophodonta titan
Taxonomy
Strophodonta titan was named by Imbrie (1959). Its type specimen is U.S.N.M. No. 124267 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 14. Quarry of Petoskey Portland Cement Co., ~2 miles WSW of Petoskey, which is in a Givetian/Givetian carbonate limestone in the Gravel Point Formation of Michigan.
